as someone who’s been around computers since the 70’s i will agree that at some point digital distribution will happen (of course it won’t stop piracy which is the great irony) but not in 5 years. There are to many of use who want to “own” what we pay for, NOT RENT. While that might seem near sighted, i would argue it isn’t. I’ve watched our rights (both civil and political go the way of the dodo) in regards to copyright get stolen year after year, at some point we will either lose it all together(except in name) or we will take them back, i’m hoping for the latter.
